Eusebius was a Christian bishop, scholar, and historian often called the Father of Church History. Living during the age of Constantine, he witnessed the end of the Roman persecutions and the rise of Christianity as an imperial faith. A devoted student of Scripture and of Origen’s theological legacy, Eusebius sought to preserve the memory of the Church from the time of the apostles to his own day.
