Our Mission
AdArtes exists to multiply the heart and mind of Jesus Christ through teaching and equipping in the Liberal Arts.
We desire to promote the classical Christian educational movement by helping recover historical classical education. We aim to help classical Christian schools flourish; to plant and consult classical Christian schools; and equip educators in the intellectual classical tradition.
Our Services
ClassicalOS
ClassicalOS is the first school management platform built specifically for classical Christian schools. It covers every aspect of school operations with unique configurations to support the classical model.
Consulting
AdArtes Consulting provides the resources, tools, and guidance needed to either plant and establish a classical Christian school or transition a school into the classical model.
Teaching Institute
The AdArtes Teaching Institute aims to enrich classical educational training by supplying resources and materials to equip educators in the liberal arts tradition, classical pedagogy, virtue ethics, theology, and school operations.
Our Commitments
Historically Classical
This means that AdArtes:
- treats the Liberal Arts as the seven "ways" by which the mind is perfected and freed to pursue all further knowledge & truth
- treats the Trivium as the three arts of Language—not as stages of intellectual development— which each yield a corresponding skill
- treats the Quadrivium as the four arts of mathematics which deal with abstract quantity
- embraces all other areas of knowledge (e.g. mechanical arts, civics, economics, virtue-ethics, and natural sciences) as essential to human formation
- treats education as an endevor which forms the moral, intellectual, and spiritual nature of the human person
Distinctively Christian
This means that AdArtes:
- affirms the orthodox Christian faith as articulated in the Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, Chalcedonian Definition, and Athanasian Creed
- adheres to historic Protestant theology— Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, London Baptist Confession of 1689, and the Westminster Confession
- affirms a Thomistic metaphysic which holds God as ipsum esse subsistens (subsistent being itself), actus purus (pure actuality), and the ground of all other being
- affirms the core doctrines of classical theology in relation to the doctrine of God
- affirms the authority, inspiration, and inherency of Holy Scripture
- affirms that all things hold together, find their unity, and fulfill their end in Jesus Christ
